Angry Birds is not the only game that you can play on your mobile phone. If you have ever wished the PC games that you adore so much could be available on your smartphone, today is your lucky day.

These games are compelling. They can rock you to your core and stay with you even after you are finished playing. Let’s not waste time and have a look at the classic games you can play on your Android device.

Pro Tip: To enjoy playing these games, you must have at least 100 Mbps Internet speed. I am looking into Spectrum deals to upgrade my Internet speed for the exact reason.

Back to the list…

1 – The Grand Theft Auto III Series

GTA is one of the widely played games with several of its versions available on Android. These include GTA Vice City and San Andrea.

The gameplay does not differ when you shift to a smartphone. You will be using the touchscreen controls, of course. Attaching USB controllers and other peripherals via Bluetooth isn’t a problem either.

These games will cost $17 altogether. Don’t rush, buy one at a time.

2 – XCOM: Enemy Within

It’s a real-time strategy game where you control a team on a mission to save the Earth from aliens. The aim is to trace the alien invaders and destroy them while dealing with Exalt. XCOM: Enemy Within is an expansion to its predecessor, giving a cinematic direction to the storyline.

XCOM: Enemy Within isn’t free. It costs $4.99. If you haven’t played the previous versions of XCOM, there’s an action-packed gameplay waiting to be explored.

3 – Dragon’s Lair

It’s one of the oldest PC games available on a smartphone. This one for those who are into classic because it’s an arcade game. Your job is to help Dirk, the hero wins various challenges.

Dragon’s Lair has a decade’s long history. It’s even being remade into comic book series and a TV show. Dragon’s Lair and Dragon’s Lair 2 are available at $4.99 each.

4 – Doom and Doom II

It’s a creepy yet exciting first-person shooter game that is surpassingly played well on mobile. Some players call it the ancient game because it was first launched in 1994 on MS-DOS computers. The original Doom was available via mail order and shareware only but Doom II is sold online and in stores. Both cost $4.99 each.

As per the gameplay, to save the earth, you must survive demon hordes and take part in the fiercest battles of all. Doom II includes 20 additional levels.

5 – Max Payne Mobile

It’s another influential shooter game spawning several sequels and even 2 movies. Max Payne, the protagonist is a fugitive cop who is framed for murder. He is to clear his name and discover the truth of who killed his family and pinned the murder on him.

Intrigued already? Wait till you experience the slow-motion bullet time gameplay, which is the first time this technique was ever introduced in video games.

6 – Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

All Star Wars games are great but I have chosen particularly this one because it takes place four thousand years before the Skywalker Saga events.

What I admire about this game is it lets you choose from different characters to play and experience their journey. The mission and combat will differ based on the character chosen which means you are basically never going to get tired of this game.

KOTOR was initially released in 2004 and was loved by fans because of its storyline. Even if you are not an avid player but a Star Wars fan, you will enjoy every second of this game.

7 – The 7th Guest

This interactive movie puzzle game is as intriguing on the phone as it is on the PC. It’s one of the largely ignored games but I would still recommend it because of its immersive and engaging gameplay. Plus, it costs $3.99 only, which is not a bad deal.

Conclusion

Most of these games are available for download on Google Play. Some of these can only be downloaded from their official websites in the form of APK files.

Get ready to stay busy and have a great time exploring these games with interesting storylines and gameplays.
