The show couchtuner revolves around a fictional nation and around a teenage orphaned girl named Riko. She stays in a fictional town of Orth, in the Orphanage in Belchero. The city stands at the edge of a mysterious and huge hole in the ground, known as the Abyss. This goes deep below the surface. Below the earth are the ruins of a culture thought to be long gone, which is the goal of “cave raiders,” who are adventurers and who go deep into the Abyss to find objects and valuables of the ancient civilization. But it’s not easy to travel, of course.

Journey’s Dawn and Wandering Dusk, two anthology films translating the initial animus, debuted in Japan in January and released by the USA in March. An official follow-up has also been confirmed, so the show continues, maybe not as planned.
